EASY TENSIONS - HIGH BIAS

Sleepyard is well-named. Easy tensions floats on amber waves of ambient baroque pop, gently wafting over your earlobes the way a breeze flutters over the top of a field of grass. The Kersbergen brothers add layer upon layer of harmonies (when there are vocals at all) and warm analog keyboards to their soporific psychedelia. "Sea of Love" is an honest-to-goodness pop tune, but "Memory of a "Moondog", "Wild Honey Skyline" and the appropriately-titled "My Lush Friend" sound like unused backing tracks from Smile. Whether that`s manna from heaven or muzak from hell is up to you.
